It doesnt let me use my name and password. It also says that it doesnt recognize my email, so I cant reset my password. Then I find out that I have to have a disability to use it, but youll take my money even though I am not authorized to use it. Can you say refund!

Im having a lot of issues with this app. It will completely lose my place while Im reading a book. Any book. Please fix this its irritating the crap out of me...

I decided to check out Bookshare because I was very disappointed that the intermediate algebra math ebook I just paid $135 for from Amazon had been neutered by the publisher. So for $19.99, what do you get with this app? The ability to have a textbook from the Bookshare catalog read out loud to you while you watch the words scroll by on the screen. Since the Bookshare version of the textbook I wanted didnt come with any images, Im only getting text read to me. So this is why I state in the title of this review that this app is one more tool to use in a learning disabled or visually impaired persons educational plan. I have the same textbook recorded in audio that was professionally recorded. This textbook and others can be obtained through a nonprofit organization called Learning Ally. However, Learning Ally provides audio-only format for most of their books. which is why this app is wonderful to use with Bookshare as a supplement to whatever youre already doing in order to get your textbooks in an accessible format. Lastly, one thing I dont think its necessarily made clear in this apps description is the fact that in order to use the app, you have to already be a qualified member of the Bookshare program. This app was not intended to be used by the general public, and if you buy it just so you can listen to audiobooks, then youve just wasted $20.

Update. The only feature/change I see after updating is that the reading speed is very slow. This developer only updates this app about once a year, I dont have any hopes they will fix it any time soon. The updates make things worse. Old review follows, all the issues are still in the app. This app is still terrible! I will list a few things here that do not work or do not work well in this app. Reading a synopsis of the book requires two steps, you have to tap on the book title, then you tap book details, then when you tap back to get back to the booklist, it starts you back at the top of the book list. browsing through book categories starts you at the very first books added, so every time you go into a category to browse you start with the books that were added in 2001. The app does not have a category for the New York Times bestseller list, unbelievable. I have also recently discovered that when you tap on the latest books category you can only browse through the first 100, there is no way to load the next set of books. I have my account set to display 100 results, if youve chosen a different amount you probably only get to see 20. I hate this app! They do not seem to care if the users are satisfied with the performance, every time I have contacted them in the past I have never gotten any results whatsoever.

My daughter is a huge reader but also legally blind so a program like read2go is very important to us. There are some aspects of this app that are fantastic but others that are extremely frustrating. The availability of books, especially newer books is great, sometimes it works better for my daughter to have the app read to her and that works quite well, the voice sounds almost human. The text size is also easy to adjust. However, this app is ridiculously glitchy. Either the book randomly returns to the beginning of the book, or the last page and it is constantly crashing. The only way around this is to add frequent bookmarks to make it easier to find her place again after the inevitable crash. So unfortunately the negative outweighs the positive. Every time there is a new update I get hopeful that the app will get more stable but it hasnt happened yet.

This app has been a game changer for so many of my students. People have to understand that it is part of Bookshare and you need to qualify due to copywrite laws. The app makes it easy and fast to download a book. The many options for highlighting,changing background colors, font etc. are wonderful options for those with reading disabilities. This app has made it possible for students who have never been able to read a book or textbook to do so. It has opened up the world to many!! Thank you Bookshare!

This application is wonderful, but it would be better if you could choose from a variety Have different voices, like Will, Josh, Ella, etc. Please fix this, if possible, for the next update. Chapter navigation here and he sleeptime would be great additions as well give it otherwise keep up the great work exclaim I love Bookshare exclaim

Dear, Read To Go App I wish that students can change the lighting to dark to white background. And I wish that we can turn off the audio when press icon on the screen.I just want it to read the text sometimes. However its a but its a really great apple, Money well spent.

I really love this application. Works great on iPhone and iPad. One feature Id loft to see would be icloud sinking between devices.

This app is great! However, if their was a search feature with in a book youre reading will be good. In the navigation menu, add a search option to search for anything in the book. It also needs a sleep timer and chapter navigation.

Crashes on textbooks

Its nice to have this app, it helps many of us access reading material. Two things which would make it a better app is to permit the speed rate to be increased a great deal more. Material which is an easy read can be taken in for some at a much higher rate that the app presently allows. From an opposite perspective some need the reading rate to be slowed down even further. Lastly, it would be nice to see an option for the reader to select some different font styles as some are easier to read than others. For instance, the new Opendyslexic font would be a great one for some dyslexic readers. Some folks with dyslexia find this font to be much more readable. These two added features would permit me to rate this app at 5 stars instead of 3.

Pretty good, but it sounds like some things are buggy, Im not sure if its for all books, but at least The BFG has some parts where there should be a new paragraph (ex: someone says something then in the same paragraph someone else says something. Also could you clear up the voice, it sounds a little choppy, if possible could you make it less choppy? Lastly could you please make an option to not have the page number said?

When it comes to reading and enjoying books, this app is the answer. Ive been very pleased with Read To Go And would highly recommend it to other I-phone users whore blind and are looking for a great way to enjoy reading books. Itd be great if there were more voices to pick from.

I absolutely love this app! It helps me alot in school and in liesure reading. The only thing is that sometimes when Im reading a textbook without the voices, it closes when I am turning the page. Also, there needs to be a page navagating where you can type in the page number.

Please include the pictures and illustrations too. Some of the books point out to look at it, so itd be extra helpful to be able to see them. Thanks in advance and thanks for making this app ^_^

For my phone it doesnt go full screen which is kind of sad but that kind of thing would be nice to have. Users with the iPhone 5 could fit a lot more of the text on there phone that way. Please change as soon as possible!

I am so happy books with pics can be downloaded easier! While it takes a couple more steps than just text based books, its way easier than previously! This is a great solution for a lot of kids I know! I only wish that the controls were more accessible for those with physical disabilities (either could be made bigger, or easier page turning options). Otherwise I am very happy as it has made many non-readers, readers!

Dont purchase unless you are willing to go through hoops to try and use it. Paid my dues and cannot use the site without submitting md form verifying disability, or get code from school (our teacher lost he code). So frustrating. Shouldnt be so easy to buy without explaining the work to verify that your child has disability before using.
